Charlotte Josephine operates as an online retailer offering leather goods and related products.
Article 2 Applicability
These General Terms & Conditions apply to every offer, order, and agreement concluded between Charlotte Josephine and a consumer, regardless of the consumer’s country of residence.
By placing an order through our website, the consumer agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Article 3 The Offer
All product descriptions, images, specifications, and prices are provided with the utmost care. However, errors, inaccuracies, or omissions may occur.
Charlotte Josephine reserves the right to correct any obvious errors or pricing mistakes at any time, including after an order has been placed. In such cases, the consumer will be informed and given the option to proceed with the corrected order or cancel it free of charge.
Article 4 The Agreement
An agreement is concluded at the moment the consumer places an order and receives an order confirmation by e-mail.
Charlotte Josephine reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order in cases of suspected fraud, incorrect pricing, or violation of these Terms & Conditions.
Article 5 Right of Withdrawal
Consumers within the European Union have the right to withdraw from the agreement within 14 days of receiving their order, without providing a reason, in accordance with EU consumer protection law.
Consumers outside the European Union may be subject to different local regulations. Charlotte Josephine applies a 14-day return period as stated in the Returns & Refund Policy.

Article 6 Obligations During the Withdrawal Period
During the withdrawal period, the consumer must handle the product and its packaging with care.
The product may be unpacked and inspected to the extent necessary to assess its nature, characteristics, and functioning. If the product shows signs of use beyond what is necessary for inspection, Charlotte Josephine reserves the right to reduce the refund accordingly.
Article 7 Costs in Case of Withdrawal
Unless otherwise agreed, the direct costs of returning the product are borne by the consumer.
Any import duties, customs fees, or local taxes for international returns are the responsibility of the consumer.
Article 8 Delivery
Orders are dispatched within 1–3 business days, unless stated otherwise.
Delivery times may vary depending on the destination country and local postal services. Charlotte Josephine is not liable for delays caused by carriers, customs procedures, or force majeure events.
Risk of loss or damage passes to the consumer at the moment the product is delivered to the specified address.
Article 9 Payment
Payments can be made via iDEAL, Bancontact, PayPal, Apple Pay, and credit card.
Orders are processed only after full payment has been received.
Charlotte Josephine reserves the right to suspend or cancel orders in case of suspected fraudulent activity.
Article 10 Warranty and Liability
All products are covered by the applicable statutory warranty under Dutch law.
Charlotte Josephine guarantees that the products conform to the agreement and meet reasonable standards of quality and durability.
Liability is limited to the purchase price of the product, unless otherwise required by mandatory law. Charlotte Josephine is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of profit, business interruption, or reputational damage.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes liability where such exclusion is prohibited by law.
Article 11 Complaints Procedure
Complaints must be submitted by e-mail to service.charlottejosephine@gmail.com.
We aim to respond within 14 days of receipt of the complaint.
For consumers within the European Union, disputes may also be submitted through the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform.
Article 12 Force Majeure
Charlotte Josephine shall not be held liable for failure or delay in performing its obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, transport disruptions, pandemics, or governmental measures.
Article 13 Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
All agreements between the consumer and Charlotte Josephine are governed exclusively by Dutch law.
For international consumers, mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country of residence may also apply.
Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
